WfMC demonstration of Wf-XML interoperability

In 2005 Together Teamlösungen participated in a WfMC / OASIS demonstration of WfMC Interface 4 (engine interoperability) in Miami, Florida.

Using the Wf-XML protocol defined by WfMC Interface 4, Together Workflow Editor / JaWE was used to read XPDLs from the Fujitsu, TIBCO and Enhydra Shark workflow engines . After updating the XPDL definitions in the Together Workflow Editor / JaWE, the XPDL definitions were written back to these workflow engines again.

The interoperability based on the Wf-XML standard proved to be working with real world connections between components from different vendors.

Together Workflow Editor - Using the Wf-XML interface Together Workflow Editor was reading and writing XPDL process definitions directly to/from the TIBCO, Fujitsu and Together Workflow Server / Enhydra Shark workflow engines. True and real world interoperability between workflow components from different vendors based on the established open standards XPDL and Wf-XML could be shown in a live demonstration. Open standards matter ... !
